PP105 - Hydrogenation of propene
This small-scale version of the hydrogenation process can be done in a school laboratory. It can be carried out as an extension to the Practical Procedure, Preparation and properties of propene, to demonstrate gas volumes and compare the properties of alkanes and alkenes.
