- Strong practical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set up, test, and troubleshoot apparatus accurately and efficiently.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with teaching staff, students, and external suppliers.
- Competence in the use of IT systems for record keeping, inventory management, and communication
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload independently while meeting deadlines.
- Has an understanding of health and safety practices and a willingness to develop this knowledge further through training and experience.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude to supporting the department’s needs.
