G269 - Safe Practical Science in Short Stay Schools

Short stay schools are expected, and required, to provide a different organisational and curricular framework to mainstream schools in order to present students with alternative provision. They also have to work towards, wherever possible, reintegration and to avoid building dependency. This guide illustrates the guiding principles for providing appropriate, safe practical work in short stay schools, using examples from schools.
