CLEAPSS Supporting practical science and technology
Using the CLEAPSS Conductivity indicator
This video describes the use of the CLEAPSS conductivity indicator with aqueous solutions. Only the consequence of conductivity, that is electrolysis, is mentioned in specifications by examination Boards for chemistry, because it is visibly quite spectacular and used in industry. Yet evidence for the existence of ions is fundamental to the understanding of chemistry and students struggle with it. This video might help provide some evidence for their existence.
