PP035 - Sound and its effects: Understanding the effect of NIHL
This practical procedure includes 4 activities to help students recognise and understand the problem of noise induced hearing loss (NIHL). It also includes a number of industrial examples which powerfully illustrate the problem. The PP is accompanied by some resources (PP035a) which includes a Powerpoint presentation, a demonstration noise meter and a list of careers which require some knowledge of acoustics.
